Along with the development of communication and computer technology, network technology has made tremendous progress, Especially with the constant popularization and application, network has increasingly influenced the industry, commerce, finance, education, military and all fields in the society, because of which the people s life style has been changed constantly.With the constant development of information industry and the perfection of the network system, the network long-range examination system has been established, with which we can instruct and revise the materials related to the examination and the paper setting. The papers can be stored in the computer for a long time . We can revise and rearrange the paper any time we like, thus saving a lot of manpower and material resources. To adopt the method of grading the papers with computer can avoid the objective mistakes and the subjective disturbance factors. In order to impress the students on the test questions about the knowledge, we can make use of pictures, images, cartoons and sounds to make the examination vivid both in forms and in contents which can not be comparable with the traditional exams. The unfolding of the network teaching does a favor for the educators to extend the dimentions of learning spaces without the restrictions of times and places, therefore, the examination system must match with the long-range teaching. For above reasons, the long-range examination has become one of the most popular subjects in the research and application of the network both at home and abroad.In the past decade , all the management departments of education at all levels in our country have made great efforts to foster and support many long-range education experimental units ,setting up the system of educational resources and management ,carrying out the activities of teaching on the net self-teach on the net, grading and examination on the net , a better result has been achieved .Apart from the national unified examinations , all the institutions of higher learning must develop the system of long-range examination according to their own concrete circumstances in order to serve the educational work .In this thesis , the author expounds the development and the realization of the long-range examination system on the basis of network environment . The system includes three parts , such as management of examination affairs , the management of examination papers and the process control of the examination ,realizing the goal of generating papers dynamically according to the curriculum , difficulty degree and the questions on each chapter. The paper includes multiple-choice questions, fill-in questions, judgment questions and brief answers questions as well as providing an interface for manually grading the brief answer questions, thus ensures the accuracy of the scores. The final results were generated by the system automatically with preliminary statistics. To attain the goal of grading for subjective-type questions , a Chinese sub-term ,system was established according to the largest matching algorithm . By trying this technology ,extracting key words from the subjective-type questions has became a reality .It is a trial to realize the automatic grading of the brief answer questions .The system has adopted the mode of B/S, by using Java language, the main-stream platform, and also used eclipse + Tomcat + MYSQL, the assembly of Java framework and the key technology of I/O flow operation.By using Tomcat Connection pool technology link the database by means of MYSQL Server .we can effectively control and manage the database connection in the light of practical situation.The most outstanding characteristic of the design of this system lies in that it is based on the design of the grading system of the Chinese participle technology of subjectivity's problems voluntarily. Design thought: The core works of subjective problems is to find out the key word (The Score burns of the test), and compare the score burns found with the total key words to get the percentages, the score should take an integer.The traditional participles need a large word database, such as several hundreds of thousand words. It will take much more time to ergodic the lexicon than the using of the participle. In the process of grading the subjective problems, the key words are often the peculiar terms. So, the ordinary word database doesnot contain them. At the same time, the key words may contain the English words by the habits of the students. But the Chinese participle system is based on the Chinese words only. So, the design and the maching process should be improved.We should expand the initial word database from six to eight, which contain one English key word database seven Chinese key word database, so that we can make the key words are less than eight. On the same time we put the key words into the frontest location of the initial word database.Base on the initial Chinese participle matching system , the match process add an English key words matching system. Firstly, this system will find the English key word before turn the document into total Chinese words. Then find the Chinese key word from the students' answer through the initial Chinese matching process system.Of course, automatic grading are inadequate about subjective questions. Including students answer questions not standardized caused by the misuse points and semantic not strong enough to understand function caused grading wrong. After small-scale tests, the system's accuracy rate at over 80 percent, as a self-test have some value, but it was still not completely applied in the examination of the official.Long-range Examination based on internet was more and more regarded by domestic education in recent years, but The good productions is still absent in domestic market, and Most systems were developed by the academys themselves. At the same time, Some small and medium-sized users have great demand in the market, and yet They lack the ability to develop and the funds. So the system has broad market prospects.Systems were administrators, teachers, and students user respectively controlled.Inputting questions were sorted to subjects,the type of questions,chapters and the degree of difficulty. Management questions through the questions' ID Types of test questions were divided into filling blank questions \ selective questions \ judgement question.s\ a brief answer questions, and the three questions automatically read overmarginalia. The establishment of the database system based on MYSQL .When landing too many users may have problems, simultaneously, the use of Chinese participle technology which reviewed in the subjective topic is still at the experimental stage, the error is bigger, the System does not yet officially use.
