With the development of science and technology and the growth in people'sliving standard, people bring forward increasingly stringent requirements to theinhabited environment. Comfort, nature, safety, health, efficiency and facility become amodem trend in the development of home design. Now, the focus of home design hasbeen gradually shifted to peopte oriented and centered on the lifestyle of people. Smarthome control system is to adapt to this humanization and intettigent demand.To achieve a smart, safe and efficient smart home control system, the main workis shown as follows:1. Set up a platform for the compound network smart home control system whichbased on Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN), Intemet, and Global Systemfor Mobile communication (GSM) and home LAN.2. Design various terminal control modules for smart Home Control System anddefine a software communication protocol for the system.3. Design telephone remote control subsystem based on the xPL (ExtremelySimple Protocol), short message system remote control and alarm subsystem basedon MC35 hardware platform, intrusion detection subsystem based on infrareddetectors, remote monitor subsystem and electrical control subsystem.4. Program smart home control system software based on the above subsystems.
