Internet has experienced explosive growth in the past decade, the number of networking host doubles every year and the number of web sites doubles every six months. Accompanied by the rapid development of multimedia technology, endless multimedia applications appear on the Internet. these new applications have attracted more and more users. Growing user demand and relatively slow expansion of the hardware equipment and technology updates, cause the relative lack of network resources and enable users on the network dissatisfied with the quality of service. Different types of business require different quality of services and different network resources, the existing Best effort network does not adequately provide differentiated services, which calls for the network to take measures to provide a variety of different levels of quality of services, distribute limited network resources reasonably and effectively, thus maximizing the potential value of our resources and improving the overall service quality of communications network.In the past decade, engineers have regarded the main energy in the technology field, but with little result. The successful application of economics in all aspects of life makes it natural that research scholars use pricing mechanisms to resolve these issues. This is because, compared to technical means, the price lever can be more directly and effectively control over the use of network users, thus play an important role in the rational allocation of network resources. The fluctuation of prices in real time can reflect supply and demand situation,and encourage or constraint the behavior of user selecting resourses;At the same time,the price of service the user selected can be the basis for the allocation of resources to achieve the distinction.Through the realization of rational pricing scheme, from the engineering point of view, can carry out effective distinction for users ,balance the traffic rationally and become a means of avoiding network congestion ;from the economic point of view, the ISP can recover the cost, and use the surplus to upgrade the existing network and provide better service. However, the proposed pricing schemes have made more consideration for optimal problem, and little attention to the complexity of the realization. So that the pricing scheme still stays in the theoretical stage, has not been truly realized.Based on the above-mentioned issues,put forword a dynamic pricing scheme based on a single diffserv and present a specific implementation framework.The content of the paper and the main innovations are as follows:1,Implement the classification and comparison between the existing pricing schemes.According to the relationship between the cost changes and the time ,the pricing schemes are divided into static, half-dynamic and dynamic three types.Pricing schemes are described respectively and assessed the performance of several pricing schemes based on three evaluation criterias of dynamic pricing or not, time granularity and pricing time.2,Put forword a kind of dynamic pricing schemewe present an integrated pricing architecture consisted of access price and usage price ,which lead to an effective and real-time pricing method. With the method , different charging rates are applied to different service levels. The access price reflects the price of the flow reserved but not used , the usage price which reflects the service diffrence introduces dynamic characteristics and changes cyclically as the network congestion state.This scheme urges users to select suitable service level and alternate users'sending rate according to the price changes through intermediate agent,thereby maximize utilities;Besides those , ISP can interfere to help distribute customers among different levels . Such an integrated pricing mechanism in which supply and demand dominate ,and plan assists guarantees the network to be utilized effectively.3,With the diffserv's feature ,present a specific implementation frameworkThe framework designs on the diffserv model, combined with the dynamic pricing scheme we proposed ,resolved the realization problems in the past. It monitors network congestion status through information sharing between the edge routers and consider this information to update prices.Congestion monitoring as well as the calculation of prices bases on end-to-end, which reduce the network load and control expenses; In between ISP and users increases intermediate agent, which get information from users at longer lime-sacles ,displaying the current price category to users, but update prices with ISP at shorter time-scales. Resolved time granularity problem.In addition, in order to evalue the performance of our pricing scheme and the implementation framework, we use the network simulator NS-2 to conduct detailed experiment and analysis from different perspectives.The simulation results indicate that our pricing scheme and implementation framework have better stability and fairness in bandwidth allocation and queue management, and are esay to implement .
