With the development of microelectronic systems, communication and sensor technologies, wireless sensor networks have become a hot research area in the information domain. They are widely used in environmental monitoring, medical care, traffic control, military and other areas. Deploying a number of enhanced mobile nodes in wireless sensor networks could effectively improve the defects in traditional networks such as poor adaptability, dynamic networks setup and other defects in static wireless sensor networks. They will greatly extend the capabilities and the application scope of wireless sensor networks. They will make wireless sensor networks more flexible. Mobile wireless sensor networks have gradually become a spotlight in the future information network research.This dissertation presents a mobile sensor node with enough computation ability based on Single Chip Micyoco, electronic theory and radio frequency communications technology, and also presents an active mobile control protocol in the mobile node. It remedies the disadvantages in static sensor networks topology and effectively extends sensor networks life time.Firstly, the dissertation analyses the beginning and development of mobile sensor networks and mobile sensor nodes, it points out the disadvantages in the existing mobile nodes. It proposes the three-stage structure in the design of mobile sensor node, It discusses detailedly in 5 modules: processor module, wireless communication module, motor drive module, sensing module and the energy supply module and it gives the guidelines to choose appropriate devices, mobile base, and points out PCB production problems that needed to pay attention to; secondly, the dissertation brings out a mobile wireless sensor networks' model, designed and implemented the control protocol under the circumstance. Then it tests and analyses the mobile wireless sensor networks information transmission and control protocol through a network environment; finally, it also summarizes the paper's main tasks and guidelines for future research.
