Medical image diagnosis occupy a large proportion in the modem medical activities. With visualization technology and the continuing development of modern medicine has become increasingly inseparable from the medical image information. In the development of medical imaging information in the course of medical equipment because of the different manufacturers, results in all kinds of equipment and medical image storage format, different transmission, makes medical imaging and related information in different systems, different applications the exchange has been seriously hampered. To standardize medical imaging and related information exchange and gave birth to DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communications of Medicine) standards.The papers, on the basis of DICOM3.0 standards, finish medical image processing algorithms of research and programming. Including DICOM file format conversion, transfer window technology, image display and storage, and geometry processing, edge detection and de-noising, and other conventional image processing; The important characteristics of early breast cancer x-rays, breast lesions micro-calcifications of detection; Images of the human body type Organ segmentation, and so on.The preface introduces the significance and background; The second chapter introduces the history of the development of DICOM standards, composition, file formats and the structure and characteristics of BMP, The document focuses on DICOM read, display, the VC conversion methods and procedures to achieve conventional image processing algorithms, involving Geometry processing, edge detection and image de-noising; Chapter III introduces the concept of breast cancer, morphological features and detection method which based on Wavelet focus on strengthening and gray threshold; Chapter IV uses respectively watershed transformation and growth of regional law on human organ type image segmentation, and tells two separate methods; Chapter 5 gives the full text of the summary.The author completes the design and programming independently, in the whole development process the author has mastered a professional image processing methods, to work independently and problem-solving abilities have mentioned, a great deal proceeds.
