Research Of Blog Ranking Algorithm Based On Link Analysis And Blog Characteristic Features

As the Internet moves into Web 2.0 era, blog is integrating into the social life at a very high speed and becoming an Internet-based infrastructure service, while bringing with it a series of new applications, such as blog search and so on. However, the traditional web ranking algorithms cannot satisfy the requirements of blog search, so that the blog ranking algorithm based on reasonable blog characteristic features has become an urgent demand.Based on the analysis of the existing blog ranking algorithms, this paper made a further investigation and research on possible impact factors of blog ranking and evaluated these factors with quantified method.Then this paper proposed a blog ranking algorithm based on link analysis, respectively, through the links between the blog posts and the links between blog sites, and improved it by assigning weight to the links from the above quantifiable factors. Some amendment from the freshness of posts and the degree of query match was also added to the algorithmAfter that, an experimental blog search engine is built up to test the algorithm A comparison on effectiveness of this algorithm and the existing algorithms is carried out and better result is returned for this algorithmFinally, this paper summed up the research on blog ranking, the innovation in this paper, and proposed the further research direction in the future.
