Except with the anti-stealth and rending anti-radiation missiles useless, work stability, also for its inherent flexibility and mobility that enlarge warning range the etc, OTHR has been widely used in military. With it's the relevant single waveform, single detection the technique also is thoughtful of, pluralistic development.Now, often the signal detection method that OTHR adopts metrical number of times are certain, and namely in spite of SNR of signal to compare the size to all want to measure so many times. But for can satisfy the certain detectable capability, system to usually want the small signals of caring, from but result to big SNR of signals the wasted circumstance of number of times. Contrary,because of measure number of times is constant, the signals can't satisfy the detection function after the small SNR of signal waves are detected and superimposed ,this method make the signals distortion and the function of detection lower.Sequential detection method is to aim at to this kind. In the sequential detection, the number measure of times depend on examine the circumstance, and the change is stochastic. Generally in the circumstance of constant detectable capability sequential detection have small average metrical number of times. Sequential detection has stronger direction .It refrain from blindness of the detection and save times of observationIn this paper, we study Sequential detection method of the Over the Horizon Radar(OTHR) and its application in the Over the Horizon Radar. Because in sequential detection, the number measure of times depend on examine the circumstance, and the change is stochastic, this method overcome to the weakness of the regular detection method, it save times of observation and increase the ability of the radar detects the real-time signals. The main work of this paper including:(1) This text first synopsis introduces classical method of the single processing and the detection of the radar as well as the concept of sequential detection method. Including the Modern radar classification, the Over the Horizon Radar(OTHR) and its growth introduction, introduces the classical method of the single processing and detection of the radar ,the concept of sequential detection method and its research progress.(2) We has analyzed the basic detection method of the OTHR. Mainly includes the primary function of the HF radar receiver and the typical structure of the OTHR, take the frequency modulated interrupted continuous wave as an example,we has analyzed the some feature of the information withdraw in the OTHR , the basic detection method of the OTHR——CA-CFAR.(3) Studied the application of the Sequential detection method in the OTHR. Including the elementary theory of the sequential detection method,The terminational way of the sequential detection method, the relation of the threshold and the detection function , the norm of the best of all the sequential detection method etc. We studied the method deeply of the coherent integration and non-coherent integration, the two different unused form of sequential detection, compared both merit and flaw, the hope is to apply the way to provide referenced basis from now on.(4) Finally under the background of the Gauss white noise, we have simulated to make a model which coherent integration sequential detection, analyzes the detectable capability of sequential detection, proof possibility of sequential detection.The fundamental research and the experiment analyzes of this paper has great meaning for the application research of the Sequential detection method in the OTHR.
