Research Of Authentication And Authorization Based On DIAMETER In Service Selection Gateway

With the Internet evolving to a massive worldwide network, and dramatic growth experienced in data and multimedia services, network services becomes more and more diversification, it brings forward a higher demand of the services of network operators. Service Selection Gateway (SSG), what discussed in this paper, providing a better service control for network operators, and it can develop incremental services more conveniently, as well as making individuation services for customers.Authentication and authorization for customers are two of the most important modules in SSG Studied SSG, AAA authentication and authorization deeply, and combined with a insight discussion on the next generation AAA service protocol-Diameter protocol, this paper presented a system solution of authentication and authorization based on Diameter protocol in SSG In which a two-level authentication model was designed and built, aimed at presenting an authentication and authorization system which is safe, stable and reliable.The major works in this paper was to analysis and design the authentication and authorization solution in SSG, which includes the main structure of two-level authentication model based on a Diameter application in SSG, constituent modules and also functions of each module. Finally, several key technical problems within the system were discussed, and also one implementing result of the solution was involved to ascertain the solution and proved to meet the demands.
