Research On Technology Of Multiuser Detection For UWB Communication

Multiuser detection is a key technology of Ultra Wideband Communication. It is on the basic of the traditional detection technology, and fully makes use of all users'information caused MAI to eliminate the MAI and Near-Far effects. A multi-user detection with good performance has the ability of resisting MAI and NF to increase the ability of the system.For the importance of the technology of the multiuser detection for UWB, based on the DS-UWB communication system, the thesis studies the algorithm of the multiuser detection. For the optimum multiuser detector, it adopts the algorithm of ML multiuser detection. The simulation of the ML algorithm indicates it has a good detecting performance. But the complexity of the ML multiuser detection algorithm increases exponentially to the number of the users. The algorithm of the minimum mean-square error multiuser detection based on the training sequences for DS-UWB systems has a good detecting performance and reduces the complexity. And by using a fraction of the informative sequence's transmitting power as training information, the improved algorithm of multiuser detection based on the hidden training sequence for DS-UWB systems offers increased bandwidth efficiency and also shows reasonably good performance. It can be suitable for engineering application.All these study above will provide some useful ideas and methods to realize multiuser detection of UWB communication system.
