With the rapid development of computer vision technology, the digital assisted broadcasting system is using more and more extensively in sports. This paper designed the digital assisted broadcasting system based on photogrammetry, and it's used for real-time information extraction from soccer match. This system can calculate the point's world coordinates in soccer video image, and calculate all kinds of distance information in 3-D. We can realize 3D reconstruction in stadium. First we use image processing technology to extract stadium's feature in soccer video images. The success of these feature points'extraction is prerequisite for the camera calibration. Next, we use the feature point's image coordinates, and their known world coordinates to calibrate camera. Considering the characteristics of soccer video image, in this paper we used plane-based method to reconstruct 3D information. Through testing the real soccer video image, the experimental results show that this method can be applied to measure the geometric distance in soccer match, and is simplicity, effectiveness, and reliability.
