The ultimate target of the mobile communication is"personal communication", which means communicate with anyone in anywhere and anytime and any types. These days almost we can communicate with other in anytime and anywhere, while there are some limit for any service due to the bandwidth and various services.In order to keep the durative rivalrousness of the mobile communication, 3GPP proposed the LTE systems to improve the performance, which apply the OFDM,MIMO,AMC and scheduled etc. We study the pilot technique of LTE FDD system in this paper. The research of the pilot is included the structure and the sequence design. The design of the pilot structure need to consider the channel estimation,the number of the antenna,wireless channel and overhead and so on. The design of the pilot sequence need to consider the RTT,scheduled and cell plan etc.The content of this thesis is as follows:Firstly, we introduce the target and the current of the LTE, then describe the RTT of the LTE, the downlink is applied the OFDMA, which can effectively support the various bandwidth and flexible scheduled methods; the uplink is applied the SC-FDMA, which can also support the flexible scheduled methods and the low PAPR; Finally, we emphasize giving the research and simulation of the pilot, which is included the use of the pilot,the structure and sequence of the pilot, and the interference coordinated,power boosted and frequence hopped, especially, through the plenty of simulation, we give our analyse and advice in many aspects of pilot design.
