| The development and prosperity of Internet has brought great convenience to people's study, work and life. However, when people are enjoying the benefits, they are meanwhile suffering from the bitterness of the security problems. Security issues, such as fast spread of virus, Hacking, compromise of confidential information, etc., have really formed huge threats to a variety of business, as well as the governments' infrastructures. To face these problems, there have emerged a lot of technologies, and one of them is PKI technology.PKI, short for Public Key Infrastructure, is security infrastructure based on public key cryptography system, providing authentication, encryption, digital sigature and time-stamp services. Its core module is CA-Certificate Authority, whose main function is the issuing and management of certificates and CRLs. PKI has been widely used to secure the well-being of E-commerce and E-government.However, not all the organizations have the conditions to set up their own PKI system. Those who don't have the conditions also want to enjoy the service without setting up corresponding system. To meet this need, some companies started to provide such services based on PKI. These services are called Certficate Service(a.k.s. PKI Service).This dissertation address its research on the current situation of Certificate Service, its problems, and corresponding solutions. The application of Web Service, integrating of Managed PKI Service and PKI Hosting Service, secure setting based on different modules--based on these analysis, the dissertation designs a Certificate Service System based on Web Service, and conducts the implementation.After the research and implementation, we can see that throught this certificate service, no matter personal users, server users, Managaed PKI users, or PKI Hosting users, can all enjoy their target service. Besides, with the application of Web Service technology, all modules' implementataions are language-independent and platform-independent. |
