With the development of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), the applied fields of RFID have become more and more widely while the RFID standards have also been more strictly required than ever before. Now in China, 13.56 MHz RFID, representing high frequency RFID (HF), is highly developed. Meanwhile, those unique high frequency RFID (UHF) ranging from 800 MHz to 900 MHz are still under research and development, which is at the beginning stage of large-scale application. However, considering the advantage of read/write distance and excellent performance in multi-tags identification, UHF will surely be the main trends in the future world of RFID.This article is designed to work on UHF RFID technology, mainly including the following three aspects: (1) brief introduction of RFID; (2) the design of LO of the reader; and (3) the improvement of anti-collision algorithm.
