This measuring system is specially designed to solve the diameter and distance of exit pupil of the gun optical sighting for some factory. After refer both here and abroad literature and analyze traditional testing principles and methods of the diameter and distance of the gun optical sighting, corporate technology of CCD, auto-focusing technique, modern photoelectricity, precision machinery, computer image disposal, modern electric technology and other technology, we discuss the modern testing theory of the diameter and distance of the gun optical sighting and do the total structure design on the basis of these testing principles.Experimentation proves that the measurement error is less than 0.1mm and the repeatability precision is±0.04mm and measuring range is 0~100 mm. Digital was achieved in this method, so it could eliminate many disadvantages such as fatigue easy, great artificial effect factors in test method by eyes and advanced testing veracity and automatic degree.The success of the measuring system make significance on national defence military industry and civil industry. Furthermore, the testing technique of this testing system can also used in performance parameter testing of other optics system, such as micro system, camera system and projecting system, so it has universal significance.
