This article has based on traditional image plane stability test theory of zoom lens system, adopted the manifold key techniques like photoelectric sensor technique, CCD image pick-up technique, auto-building photoelectric figure technique, automatic aligning photoelectric technique, and computer image processing technique et al. The overall design of test of image plane stability of white light collimator has been carried out, and the key techniques have been researched.In this article, the test theory of image plane stability of white light collimator has been discussed in the first. Then the overall design of this system has been made. The keystone is the specific design of optical target generator (parallel-ray tube with DLP technology). At the same time, the optical isolation platform, the adjustment of six-dimensional rotary table, the CCD picture pick-up system, the computer image processing system, and the electronic control system have been calculated and picked up. At last, the accuracy analysis has been progressed of this test system.These analyses showed that this test system has diversified advantages like high efficiency, high speed, high accuracy, good objectivity, good versatility, compact configuration, operational flexibility, maintaining convenience, friendly interface of man-machine, good expansibility, and high degree of automatization. The successfully developed of this system has important meaning of defense and military career in our country.
