Audio information hiding applies to secret communication and digital right protection. Designing of audio information hiding algorithm is researched in the dissertation, the innovative work that is presented in this dissertation is below:(1) MIDI file has been widely applied to the multimedia and games of computers because it needs little memory comparing to wav file. Along with wide using of MIDI file, the digital right protection for MIDI file is necessary. A digital watermark algorithm which embeds watermark by modifying special commands is proposed in the dissertation, it effectively applies to digital right protection for MIDI file.(2) MP3 becomes primary storage format of music due to its high compression ratio and low distortion rate. A information hiding algorithm for MP3 based on MDCT coefficients is introduced, it embeds secret information by modifying the decimal digits of MDCT coefficients. Accordingly, MP3 file is used to transfer secret message.(3) Prior digital watermark algorithm belongs to symmetrical watermark algorithm. Because of disadvantages of symmetrical watermark, the unsymmetrical watermark is introduced. An unsymmetrical audio watermark algorithm is proposed in the dissertation. In the algorithm, different noise represents different watermark bit, the watermark is extracted by correlative detection. In the end, a method of increasing watermark capacity is introduced in the paper.
