Design And Implementation Of The Network Printer Monitor Management System

Network printer is a type of brain network equipment; it can be used to give printing service for numbers of people by different net condition. Except for high speed printing network printer also can be monitored and managed with a management system by administrator at remote. With cheaper of the price and commonly used LAN for the enterprise, network printer is going to be a key member in office equipments. One of the most different between network printer and stand-only printer is that except for a driver network printer also need a management system to monitor and manage for the printers in LAN or WAN. System administrator can easily use management system to monitor the printers, and set configuration on the printers.This paper discusses the monitor and management system of network printer, and mainly focus on the system's module design, the Daemon module's details design and testing. Adopt Struts which is a MVC framework, layers design is a feature of this system. As using Struts it being Simplely to implement and dispose. This monitor system does not only fulfil the functional requirement but also security non-functional requirement. The system is providing a friendly interface to manage, inquire and maintain printers at LAN or WAN. Administrator is able to use it to discovery printers, to inquire printer status etc.This system has passed the testing of function and performance, and successfully disposed at real net condition.
