Along with the rapid development of economy, the amount of motor vehicles grows very fast in china. As a result, the difficulty of parking is becoming more and more serious in many cities in recent years. To meet the parking needs, large scale or ultra-large scale parking lots have come up in our life. The classical parking management system has not been equal to the task. First, with the existing parking management system, vehicles have to stop at the channel gate to check their identification information, it leads to a lot of problems for traffic. It not only costs a lot of time of drivers and managers, but also a huge quantity of energy resource is wasted. Second, the increasing amount of the vehicles is a big challenge to the classical system, the safeties of vehicles can't be strictly ensured and the efficiency is too low for the classical system.In order to solve these actual problems, this paper concentrates efforts on studying a new long-distance intelligent identification management system of parking lot, based on the technology of RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) and IrDA(Infrared Communication), It provides a new kind of wireless reader and wireless tags which can form the wireless communication system to make the vehicle identification recognized by the management system automatically. The frequency used in the wireless communication is 433 MHz which belongs to ISM band. The wireless system can be linked to computer system without any gap to form a strong long-distance range intelligent management system for vehicles as stated in this paper. The long-distance range intelligent management system can realize all the necessary functions for vehicles management in the parking area, the vehicles identification information can be read in a long-distance range, the safety information for the vehicles can be checked automatically and fees can be payed easily without any manual operation. The system also can provide some new functions, for example, picture images comparison, vehicle database updating in network. The intelligent management system combines the ideas of the life artist, the information and computer technologies and it is convenient, advanced and quite humanized.The main contains of this thesis is the design of long-distance wireless communication system; anti-collision algorithm of the multi-Tags, the technology to remove the disturbance from the neighbour channels, and the design of tag with low power cost. The research in this paper is very important and meaningful in the parking lot management field, and the results can help to solve some problems which trouble the parking lot management for a long time, for example, the problem of disturbance from neighbour channels. The practice proves that the research and the results are valuable.
