Study Of Palmprint Authentication Based On Support Vector Machine

In recent years, biometrics identification is developed in many fileds.We will discuss some issues about the palmprint identification. From imageacquisition to pattern mathing,we have done a lot of work. At last, we useSVM method to have a mathing.(1) The first step is applying a low-pass filter to the original image. Thenuse a threshold Tp, to convert this original image into a binary image.(2) The second step is determining a coordinate system to extract the centerpart from the given palmprint image.(3) The third step is finding some stable and unique features,we use Gaborfilter and have extracted the texture information .we compared thembased on SVM method and deciside whether two palmprints are fromthe same person.The result shows that according to SVM ,there is a high recognitionrate,particular small samples and high dimentions.
