- Cellular automata algorithm is one of the most attentive algorithms in the world today. This algorithm has been ceaselessly developed much better and has become very useful in many fields in the past decades. Many problems that are very difficult or totally not to be solved by traditional algorithms now can be worked out well by cellular automata. Cellular automata algorithm is a holy new advanced computing algorithm. It's based on the idea that every system can be divided into many cells; it takes the natural principles of evolution into it. So it has many advantages out of other algorithms as well, and it is more stable and more adaptive.In mechanical process, milling insert get the seasonal heated impact in cutting process, the cutting heat produced the temperature field that works milling insert disrepaired, in the period of the cutting process the temperature field take on the complicated changing. So studying the producing and changing rules of the cutting heat and the cutting temperature is the important method that can open out the mechanism of the milling insert dilapidation.In order to solve the problem, this thesis takes the temperature field which milling insert produced in cutting process as the research object, carries on the grid division of the cutting tool entity with the cellular automata, establishes the cellular automata's model of the milling insert temperature field and studies the optimized mechanism of the milling insert in cutting process, it can enable the cutting value of the milling insert arrive the optimization.The main contribution of the thesis is the establishment of model on cellular automata based on temperature field and judging the influence of the cutting parameter, cutting tool's trough line and cutting tool's geometry parameter to temperature field, According to the model of the cellular automata's temperature field, we can propose the mechanism that enables the cutter blade's cutting value arrive the optimization. Although cellular automata thought is one new algorithm thought, but it has the very big prospects for development, and it is the first time that applying cellular automata thought to the simulating temperature field distribution of machine cutting. Therefore this thesis's studying may bring the innovation function for research and application of cellular automata.
