Computer Graphics is an exciting and the most developed realm of the computer, it is a new subject of studying the graphics and image processing principles, algorithms and the system with the computer inputting, meaning, processing and outputting. Its content is very plentiful. Especially the research on the computer graphics obtains the new result continuously, and blends with the image processing mutually, its involvement and application is more extensive.The development of the computer graphics is inseparable with the development of the hardware. Currently, the light grid-scan display is on the rectangle grid, but in the early 60s, some studies have shown that the best disposition of a discrete set of points on the plane can be reached if the points are on a hexagonal grid. It has more advantages over the square grid in view of displaying graphics and images on the hexagonal.This paper studies the graphics display and the imaging processing on the hexagonal grids, it can be listed:1. A double-step circle drawing algorithm based on hexagonal grids: compared with the circle drawing algorithm based on rectangle grids, displaying the advantage of the hexagonal grids and the algorithm.2. The study of geometric transformations on the hexagonal grids, mainly including the translation, scaling, reflection and rotation.3. A new chain code of based on hexagonal grid.4. The polygon-fill algorithm on the hexagonal grids, mainly the seed filling and the scan-filling algorithm.5. The display of the character on the hexagonal grids, mainly the lattice character and the vector character...
