The Research Of Network Traffic Analyzing Model Based On TCP/IP

The research on network measurement is a technology focus of internet traffic engineering. It is very important to understand network behavior while the development of the network due to network management, network planning and network development.This thesis first introduces the general network traffic measurement technology, then on the base of the traffic monitoring frame which was suggested by RTFM of IETF ,proposes a network traffic analyzing model based on TCP/IP.The whole system is divided into three departments, which is traffic- collecting system, analyzing system and central controlling system. However, it is more difficult to measure full traffic trace while bandwidth is increasing larger, and at the same time, it is more difficult to analyze the vast traffic log. To solve the problem, the adaptive sampling methodology is applied to the traffic collecting system. The data analyzing system can not only provide real-time and historic flow data, but also provide real-time detection for network traffic anomalies using AR module. In the end we summarize our current system, and discuss what we should do next.
