With the rapid development of mobile communication, people pay more attention to the wireless location technology. As the mainstream standard of 3G mobile communication system, the research of the wireless location is an important issue in CDMA system.In this paper, the developments of wireless location as well as the domestic and international relevant researches are reviewed. The two kinds of channel models-COST-231 and T1P1 channel model have been studied as well. The characteristic and suitable environments of the two models have also been shown in this paper.In the present work, we also study the Taylor-series algorithm, Chan algorithm and a new method base on them-cooperative location algorithm which was simulated under the T1P1 channel model meanwhile. Comparing with the traditional method, cooperative location algorithm has a high precision of location.We have not only studied the technology of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA), but also summarized the pivotal technology and merits of CDMA. The scheme of location system in actual CDMA network is put forward. The function of each localization entity is divided, and the realization of the key module and technology is explained.NLOS effect which is the primary facts affected the location precise has been studied. One of the new algorithm-NLOS is shown in this paper that is also simulated and analyzed. The conclusions show that this algorithm not only mitigates non-line-of sight effect but also improves the accuracy of wireless location technology.
