In recent years, the P2P streaming developed rapidly. After the analysis of the application of P2P in the field of video streaming network,the paper gives a detail research of the application of P2P in the technology of application layer multicast,analyzes several classical models about video streaming network and summarizes that all models have the limitation in the trade of among bandwidthe ficiency,delay and reliability.This paper presents SuperSteam, a data driven video streaming network module based on P2P. The network use superpeers to effectively ease the server's pressure and collect ordinary peers'informantion for improving the search efficiency and helping ordinary peers to close a better partner. And various other data-driven media network, It use time-parameters about data chunks to find partner nodes in the same time region. Its main characteristics include the following parts:1) doesn't have to maintain complex data structure, and can adapt to the complex network environment. 2) time limited: The nodes in strict accordance with the time characteristics to choose resources, and schedule resources. 3)high availability:the whole stream network adopts the data spreading mechanism like bittorrent,organizes the multicast network with the local policy,and takes advantages of Super Peers'resources to improve search efficiency and coverage. 4)high utilizing of bandwidth,as it can control the peers according to the change of bandwidth of them and make good use of their bandwidth. 5)through NAT:it uses superpeers to assistant their common peers to connect with eachother which are behind the NAT.
