CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) is one of the promising technologies forfuture mobile communication system because of its several features with which othermultiple access technology can not compare: higher efficiency of frequency allocation,robust anti-multipath effect, macro diversity, mitigating interference, soft capacity,low power, soft handoff, simple frequency design, easy access, and so on. Theenormous demand for data services in wireless networks necessitates efficient andeffective radio resource management. Among various radio resource managementmethods, power control is significant, especially in code division multiple access(CDMA) system.Power control in CDMA communication system and game theory are introducedfirstly.Noncooperative power control game in wireless data system is recommended next,and show the deficiency of the algorithm, put forward a new power control algorithmbased on Best Equal SIR (BES).Then equal SIR (Signal-to-interference) is introduced to noncooperative powercontrol game in multicell wireless CDMA data system, which makes all terminals ineach cell in system work in the best equal SIR; the base assignment is based onMaximum Received Signal Strength (MRSS), a new power control algorithm basedon Best Equal SIR in Multicell (BESM) system is presented.Then equal SIR (Signal-to-interference) is introduced to noncooperative powercontrol game in heterogeneous wireless CDMA system, which makes all dataterminals in the system work in the best SIR, while the voice terminals work in thethreshold of its' SIR, a new power control algorithm based on Heterogeneous BestEqual SIR is proposed.Numerical results suggest the three algorithms can improve the capability of thesystem; terminals enjoy higher utility and lower transmit power relatively, theapplication of wireless resources become more rational and impartial.
