Research And Implement Of RLC&MAC Test Of TD-SCDMA Terminal Test Set

TD-SCDMA is one of the three main technical standards of 3G Uu interface. Due to the advantage of TDD principle, more and more manufacturers and telecom operators pay attention to this technology. On this condition, Beijing StarPoint Company has been researching and developing the "TD-SCDMA Terminal Test Set SP6010" independently, which is mostly used for the test of TD-SCDMA terminals on the product line. It can not only exactly measure the physical layer indexes of terminals, but also simulate the signaling function of Node B, RNC and the core network to drive terminals into different test state.The protocol stack of SP6010 is implemented according to the Uu interface protocol stack (UTRAN side) of TD-SCDMA system. SP6010 can communicate with UE via simulate the network's function, during the communication period, SP6010 can finish calling related test of UE. This paper describes the RLC and MAC test's design and realization of SP6010 in detail. RLC and MAC are chief sublayers of L2. The author has been responsible for requirement analysis and test of RLC and MAC of SP6010. The chief contributions of this paper are as follows:1. Analyze SP6010 terminal test set's structure in brief and research on the Uu interface protocol stack of TD-SCDMA system.2. Research on RLC and MAC protocol; confirm RLC and MAC's function requirement according to SP6010's requirement.3. Research on all kinds of test strategy, build test environment and design test cases according to demand and finally analyze test result.4. Finally, summarize the whole work, bring forward advice to the extend work.
