The Design And Implementation Of Remote Desktop System On Mobile Communication Devices

Nowadays, with the developing information technology, mobile communication devices (particularly, the mobile phones) and personal computers have been more and more important in people's daily life. However, comparison shows that mobile phone is proud of its portability while computer is good at computing. Moreover, in many cases, people cannot do their computing tasks just because they do not take their computers.With the help of Internet, the Mobile Remote Desktop Communication System (MRDCS) could utilize the mobile phone to input or output information and leave the information processing to the computer. This paper describes the whole design and implementation of the moPCDesk system, which is one instance of MRDCS. Starting from the introduction of traditional remote desktop system, it analyses end users' requirements and existed solutions, then proposes the design and implementation of moPCDesk. Finally, this paper describes the system evaluations and the future works for moPCDesk as a conclusion.
