The Research And Implementation Of Encrypted Database System

With the abroad application of computer technology, more and more people are depending on the information systems. The problem of security has attracted our attention while we are enjoying the convenient services brought by computer technology. As the important component of the information systems, database plays the crucial role in the construction and application of the whole information systems because of containing of different degree of importance and confidentiality.In the most cases, the most valuable thing in the application system is commercial data, especially for some special industries, such as finance, the confidentiality of data is of vital importance for the enterprises development. Data security is a very important aspect of system security. Although the application and database management system can provide a great degree of security assurances for the data, the data are generally stored in a separate physical server, the attacker can easily break or steer clear of applications and visit the data directly. Otherwise, due to the improper use of database management system and the directly visit for the original files which bypass database management system, the security protection which provided by database management system will be disabled. In addition,those legitimate users, such as database administrators, application procedure developers can easily read the contents of the database, thus destroy the confidentiality of data. Consequently, if we fail to implement additional security measures in the interior of database, such as database encryption, it will be difficult to fully guarantee the security of data.This paper introduces and discusses the database system and password algorithm first, then we talk about the key technologies on database encrypt, including their methodology and encrypt layer, and give an integrated database encrypt model.The database encryption system designed by author has implemented in the intelligent uptown information service system, and primly solved security problem of storing sensitivity data.
