In modern wars,the widely using of radars makes the signal in battlefield becoming denser and denser,the appearance of some new radar systems makes the forms of signal becoming more and more complex.The density and complexity of signal intercepted by Electronic Warfare Receiver are enlarged,this brings challenges to the pulse deinterleaving and PRF(Pulse Repetiton Frequency) type recognition of radar pulse sequences.The pulse deinterleaving and PRF type recognition of radar pulse sequences is the necessary ability that most Electronic Warfare Receivers must have.The author did some work on this subject,and the work is described as follows:The hackneyed models of PRF are summarized.For different PRF models, the deinterleaving tactic that the algorithms of PRF deinterleaving should adopt is analyzed,and the different difficulty for the algorithms used on pulse sequences of different PRF type is analyzed too.A new PRF deinterleaving arithmetic based on pulse associating is introduced, performance of the arithmetic is analyzed,some comparison is done through computer simulation,the adaptability of the arithmetic to pulse sequences having new PRF type is tested by data from a real receiver, and the advantages of the arithmetic are summarized.The Artificial Neural Network(ANN) is introduced and used on PRF type recognition of radar pulse sequences,a model of new characteristic vector of pulse sequence is established aiming at the new PRF type of the data from a real receiver,to adapt to pulse sequences of the new PRF type,a classifier composed of two networks having different functions is designed,and this provides a way for the adjusting of a network classifier to adapt to new PRF type.A software for pulse deinterleaving and PRF type recognition developed by the author is simply introduced,the specialty of the software is pointed.
