Research On The Image Registration Technology And Its Application

As we know, remote sensing has many very important applications in military. But the original images that we get from the remote sense we can't use it directly. These images must be processed by some serial special methods. The image registration is the critical technique in the process.Image registration is fundamental technique in image processing used to match two or more image that has shift differences. So far registration techniques have been widely developed in many fields, such as remote sensing, change detection, medical image processing etc.First, this paper discusses the significance and introduces the primary aspects of the image registration, analyzes the image pre process aspect of the image registration. The primary aspects of this paper include the definition and the principle of the image registration and some ordinary image registration methods. The paper has reviewed some traditional image registration methods, discussed several sub-pixel image registration methods.An automatic algorithm of remote sensing image registration is proposed in this paper that combine math morphologic and the mutual variance. Using the math morphologic to remove the noise and get the outline of the image, then iteratively get the affine transform parameter at the principle of least mutual variance.Then implements a image process system which bases on image registration and overviews the development of the image registration and the research of this paper,discusses the trend of the image registration in future.
