With the development of array signal processing, high resolution spectrum estimation algorithm such as MUSIC are paid more and more attention, and a lot of work is carried out. Array flow model which is already exactly known is the presupposition of most high resolution spatial spectrum estimation, so the performance is very good. However, in the actual application, all kinds of errors is inevitable and the performance of high resolution spatial spectrum estimation will heavily deteriorate, even cause invalidation to the algorithm. The errors of antenna array are a great limitation in the development and application of spatial spectrum estimation. To achieve high resolution spatial spectrum estimation, the array flow model must be calibrated. So, the calibration of antenna array errors is becoming the focus of research work.Array errors calibrations include active errors calibration and passive errors calibration. This paper involves much research work in the self calibration of antenna array errors and gives a lot of experimental results. The content of this thesis is as follows:First, the foundation of space spectrum estimation direction detection is introduced, and the mathematics model of array errors is set up. Self calibration algorithm is analyzed on the basis of the mathematics model. And then, MUSIC algorithm is introduced and the operation flow of spatial spectrum estimation self calibration F-W algorithm is presented. Through large scale Matlab experimental simulations, the characteristics and the performances of the algorithm are analyzed, and a lot of experimental results are given.The experiment result is analyzed in the thesis, the factors about the performances of the algorithm is enumerated,and some advice si give up on using the algorithm.At the end of this paper, F-W algorithm is summarized and the research direction is pointed out.
