Mobile Ad Hoc networks is a new kind of mobile wireless multi-hop network and the nodes in networks collaboratively and self-organizedly contribute to network connection and data transmission. Now they have been widely used in the commercial and civilian applications because of their flexible installation, quick configuration and inexpensive cost. These applications include some civilian environments where networks need to be temporarily set up, such as data exchange, urgent rescue and remote areas. With the constant development of Mobile Ad Hoc Networks, the research on their security has important strategic and realistic significance.Firstly, the factors influencing network routing Overhead and nodes orientation, cluster topology structure and main clustering arithmetic(traditional clustering arithmetic, least cluster change arithmetic and node weight arithmetic) are deeply researched and summarized. A cluster-based automatic intrusion response mechanism is put forward. It applies many kinds of mobile Agents in cluster-based Mobile Ad Hoc Networks and implements real-time response of network intrusion.Realization of Intrusion Response mechanism is researched in detail and an automated intrusion response framework adapt to Mobile Ad Hoc Networks is brought forward. Designing idea, system structure and subassembly on this framework are given. Intrusion detection, response decision-making and response implementation are minutely designed. This framework can actively discover and prevent intruders and restrain intrusion action. Finally the validity of intrusion response framework is confirmed through analyzing an example. The simulation experiments are carried out and prove that intrusion action can be efficiently prevented in this mechanism.
