A new hybrid optimized GPC based on the PSO technique (PSOGPC) is presented in which PSO is used for iterative optimization. The method can solve the problem that GPC is difficult to obtain the optimum prediction control input when the production process with constraint. Furthermore, PSO is modified in this paper to improve the solving precision and convergence rates of optimization procedure. The simulation results have shown the method's validity and superior performance.An advanced control platform is developed with VB program language. This platform can be used to demonstrate the availability and credibility of the advanced control arithmetic. By simulating practical control project system, we can prove the validity of the PSOGPC again. Also we will utilize this advance control platform to test the feasibility of switching without disturbance between PSOGPC and other control arithmetic. This advanced control arithmetic will be used in the technical modification of No 2 boiler of CPI PingWei Electric Power CO., LTD.
