Image Enhancing And Extracting Core Point Of Fingerprint

The fingerprint has the unique and invariable property, so it is widely used to the technology of biologic identification. With the rapid development of the computer technology, the wide application in image processing and the innovation in optical scanning instruments make them become instruments for getting fingerprint image, thus fingerprint identification technology are usually used in many fields. This paper introduced collecting fingerprint detailed, based on the feature of the fingerprint , enhanced the image in space and frequency fields, used a kind of complex filter to the image, combined local and full information together and designed a new algorithm of extracting core point in fingerprint. We verified its rightness through loop,left loop,right loop and other kinds of fingerprint, and some special kind of fingerprint. And developed a set of software in the environment of Matlab. It can get the enhanced fingerprint and the location of the fingerprint easily and quickly, and provides a useful tool for further processing of fingerprint.
