With the computer network technology rapid development and the widespreadapplication, the security problem which the network intrusion creates is becoming thefocal point day by day which the people pay attention. The traditional passive defensemeasure, like the firewall technology, the data encryption and so on, already could notcompletely prevent intruder's footsteps, but the Intrusion Detection Technology withthe active defense characteristic become gradually the extremely important part of thenetwork security system.In the last few years, from early central Intrusion Detection System developmentto present Distributed Intrusion Detection System, the research development is veryquick about the Intrusion Detection Technology. But along with network becomemore complex, the new method of attack emerges one after another incessantly, theIntrusion Detection System also faces many questions and the insufficiency, inparticular, the Intrusion Detection System mostly exists high false positive rate andfalse negative rate, the detection efficiency is low and so on. In view of thesequestions, the domestic and foreign researcher is working actively to consummate orreconstruct the new Intrusion Detection System by using the new technology and thenew method, and try to introduce some concepts and the method of other domains tothe Intrusion Detection System, its most remarkable characteristic is IntrusionDetection System is developing with facing to direction of the artificial intelligence.This article applied one kind of Co-evolutionary Genetic algorithm to theIntrusion Detection Technology, the research works included the code, fitness, geneticoperation and so on, and combine the detection module based on the Co-evolutionaryGenetic Algorithm with Intrusion Detection System. The findings indicated that, TheCo-evolutionary Genetic Algorithm have the faster convergence rate and the highersolution quality than common genetic algorithm. Application of Co-evolutionaryGenetic Algorithm in the Intrusion Detection technology, not only may strengthen therenewal and the optimization the rules database, unceasingly raise the quality of rules database, achieve the fast response by reducing the time of the match, but also canenhance the accuracy of Intrusion Detection System, reduce false positive rate andfalse negative rate.
