XML has become Web data transfer and exchange benchmark due to its flexible structure, self-adaption and so on. However, XML's structure flexibility negatively affects interoperative for heterogeneous XML data. As an extension of current Web, semantic Web is based on semantic link to reach the relevant data objects. It defines the web data obviously, which makes it possible for heterogeneous data interoperative on semantic context.Firstly, the thesis introduces various specifications of data/knowledge representation and relevant query language in semantic Web. The comparison among the structural query language(SQL), XML/semi-structural query language and RDF query language has been made. Then, an XML semantic query language(XSQL) is proposed.Secondly, the thesis does research on several crucial technologies for XML semantic query. It basically has two parts: 1, XML data semantic integration, which includes XML scheme semantic extraction, transformation from XML data to ontology and ontology interoperative; 2, XML semantic query, which focuses on the technologies for turning semantic data obtained in the step introduced above into XML scheme oriented XML document query.Finally, the query module design and implementation have been elaborated. The module is integrated into the SNAX.
