The survey showed that P2P has quietly occupied 60% to 80% of total business. It has become a killer application. P2P Traffic played a huge role in the Internet promoting .The same time, It has also brought occupation and resources over the network congestion and safety problems. P2P traffic occupy the most network bandwidth, China is the world's largest P2P traffic areas. While enjoying the convenience of P2P, we also consider the problem of P2P traffic control.The main research work presented in this thesis is under the background of this, fully considering the characteristics of ISP traffic. The main contents are listed as following:First, having studied in p2p technology, introduced the concept of p2p technology, features of P2P technology, application of P2P technology and P2P' network topology model.Second, having studied in the technology of the P2P traffic monitoring, analyzed traffic identification technology and control technology, at the same time introduced several policies of traffic management.Next, having presented a newly improved P2P traffic monitoring project due to the shortcomings of the present P2P traffic monitoring project, taken traffic feature identification and deep packet identification in the new project.Finally, having designed a P2P traffic monitoring system ,which can be an effective detection and control for operators to provide value, value-added services, ensure that the interests of operators from infringement. P2P network applications analyzed various types of traffic, network planning and contribute to a reasonable flow control, management, IP network and network operations for the commercial value of deep mining customer data base.
