With the rapid growing of computer technology, telecommunication technology and network technology, intelligent family robot is coming into the people's daily life. Under the analysis of the aboard actuality and development trend of the intelligent family robot, join together the function requirement of intelligent family robot with nowadays technology, design a intelligent family robot, that is low cost, multi-function, easy maintenance, convenient upgrade.The main function of the intelligence robot include the speech distinguishing, family amusement, indoors sweeps, safety guard against examination and alarm, etc. The control system of intelligent family robot based on two CPU, and all jobs can be processed in real time with the distributing calculation of the two CPU. The host based on SPCE061A MCU and expands some function module such as embedded module which can distinguish the different speech, intelligent module which can give an alarm and put out a fire, and a function module which can drive and control the motor, GSM communication module, etc. The communication between the host and the slaver can be realized by RS-485 serial interface.Intelligent robot can process the information rapidly and accurately better with the adoption of the multi-sensor fusion technology. Based on the intelligent family robot, a multi-sensor system is designed by the adoption of ultrasonic senor, infrared sensor, magnetic sensor, touch sensor, etc. The fixed position for each sensor is given. The architecture and arithmetic of multi-sensor system is also researched. The intelligent family robot is based on the hybrid model and Bayesian. Safe obstacle avoidance of robot can be realized by the adoption of fuzzy algorithm of obstacle avoidance with multi-ultrasonic sensor. The hardware experiment environment of the robot control system can be built based on SPCE061A EMU BOARD. The validity of control project can be validated by the result of the experiment.
