In recent years, accompanying with the WAP mobile network equipment high-speed technology development, the terminal functions becoming powerful, mobile network bandwidth rapidly increasing, more and more people take use of mobile network to access information resources. But because of equipment diversification, weak handling capacity and small screen, most pages on the World Wide Web is not suitable to browse by mobile terminals. To enable mobile users to browse information accurately and conveniently, information providers has to re-construct the website by the markup language which the WAP mobile devices supported, thus leading to a waste of manpower and resources. Therefore, a webpage transformation proxy system with mobile device diversity adaptation ability is rising rapidly.By studying the WAP technology standard, analyzing and comparing markup languages, in this thesis, the webpage transformation proxy system architecture with mobile device diversity adaptation ability is present. The major functions are following:1. Take HTML to WML as an example, after HTML preprocessing, HTML DOM parsing and so on, finally, by designing the transform rules, convert HTML page into the web page which is supported by the wireless terminals WAP browsers.2. As difference screen sizes and difference processing capacity of mobile equipment, before converting markup language, search the device configuration database, and then, according to screen and memory size of device, divide webpage into pieces and make every piece fit terminal browsers, to achieve good conversion results.3. According to the characteristics of WAP, convert multimedia and character encoding. The entire system uses pipelined manner, with good extension, easily insert new processing modules. In the end of this thesis, the test results and conclusions are discussed.
