XML was initially developed for document management, and then it became a preeminent data exchange format on the Internet. Now it is increasingly used for storing and exchanging all kinds of data. So, XML data processing has recently become a widely recognized area of interest in both research and industry.Despite current research achievements on XML design, there are still many unsolved issues to be explored. To Input XML data efficiently by the user, different approaches have been proposed. Among them, data entry forms are the most popular one, especially for non expert users. This thesis investigates some issues related to the methods and tools of XML utilization, which include: the rules of XSD components mapping, the algorithm of generating data entry forms from XML schemas, and producing the corresponding XML instance documents by visual generation tool: FormX.The main content of this thesis work can be summarized as follow:Analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of the existing generation form algorithms.Based on IBM Infoset model class library, the process of the forms generation according to existing schema documents has been discussed. The process of creating the XML instance document based on data input by the user has been discussed. The process is based on Document Object Model API, and according to the semantic constraints of the given schema. With mentioned above, based on Eclipse IDE, a visual and interactive tool 'FormX' is designed and implemented.
