Research On The Combination Rule Of Conflict Evidences

As one of the uncertainty reasoning methods,D-S evidence theory provides an important way for expression and combination of the uncertainty information,so it has obtained the widespread application in the uncertainty reasoning and information fusion. But in practical applications,it often comes up various uncertain conflict information. When biggish differences or conflict exist, the D-S combination rule cannot be used or obtain the result which contradicts with the fact. This kind of situation, however, are denied in many data fusion systems, otherwise wrong decision can be made in this case. This limitation becomes the main question for the D-S evidence theory to develop further, therefore it becomes an urgent issue to investigate and better the conflict evidence combination rule.This paper first studies the nature of evidence theory, exchange law,combine law,polarization law and stabilization law,and identical law and humdrum law are not the basic nature of it. Secondly it studies the absurdities which appear in the evidence reasoning, and presents six classical absurdities, including the absurdity of complete conflict, the absurdity of zero belief, the absurdity of one belief, the absurdity of useless evidence, the absurdity of evident deviation and the fuzzy absurdity of focal elements cardinality. Two kinds of combination rules are put forward in the paper on the basis of analyzing the D-S evidence and other combination rules, that are, conflict evidences based on conflict intensity and similar coefficient respectively. It studies the evaluation method for the conflict evidences combination rule,and it also develops an emulation system. Finally,an example is given to demonstrate the validity of the combination rule for conflict information on the basis of resemble degree among evidences. Not only does it combine the conflict evidence effectively, it also remains many advantages of former evidence, thus enhances the definitude.
