Today, information grid has been a significant field in the computer science and technology. We usually construct information grid using the idea of SOA and the technology about Web Services in heterogeneous and distributed environment. Because some information is concerned and intensively accessed by a large number of consumers, information provider nodes have to take heavy burden. This causes network jam and affects the quality of the whole grid. Through creating multiple replicas for a specific information, we can improve the balance and reliability of the whole system. In order to manage replicas dynamically, we suggest a replica management mechanism based on services.RMMBS includes replica creation, replica location, replica selection and replica deletion and each module is implemented based on services. This thesis introduces key techniques used in these modules and the most important techniques of them is two-level registry. Two-level registry can be divided into two steps. First, registers local ID and physical location of the replica to local registry. Second, registers information about the replica to registry of its corresponding source node. The two-level registry makes the management of replicas much simpler. Finally, we describe the design and implementation of a system based on the RMMBS. The test done by our research team has proved the feasibility of the RMMBS. |
