Abstract: This thesis is based on "The research in Computer-aided three-dimensional plastic surgery program and Forecast (N60573179)", which is a program of the National Natural Science Foundation. With the development of the computer technology, computer aided pre-surgery planning and result prediction method has indicated the plastic surgery's future. In this thesis, I give the future application of the computer aided pre-surgery planning and result prediction system and the recent research on this subject. And then the algorithms on 3D cutting and fast 3D picking are raised based on the necessary elements needed to build the simulated platform. After that, a 3D surgery platform is finished according to those two algorithms. Main tasks are as following:1. For the characteristic that the large amount of models exists in the virtual environment simultaneously and each of them consist many triangles, we raise the method that is to divide the models into small grids and limit the calculation in specific triangles.2. A new 3D cutting method is raised according to the model's spatiality. The algorithm takes advantage of the "convex polygon split" method and resolves the problems existed in the current methods.3. After studying the current collision detection techniques, we use OBB method for collision detection in the system with both the considerations of accuracy and rapidity.4. According to the above researches, "SurgeryOperSystem" is developed with the functionalities of fast 3D picking, model cutting and collision detection, which is valuable in the field of computer aided pre-surgery planning and prediction.
