Image Inpainting Algorithm Based On Curvature

Image inpainting is an important research field in image processing,which can be used to retouch damaged images and videos, remove text and canceal errors in videos and so on. Recently,the image inpainting algorithm is almost based on the method of image processing about PDE. This paper first proposes the theory of image inpainting based on PDE. Then we establish one inpainting equations using this method. Through the inpainting effects of this different inpainting equations, we can see that it only make the image smooth but it can't make edges sharp,which make the inpainting trace obvious. In order to resolve the deficiency,another inpainting model is proposed.And based on the inpainting model we can find that the curvature driven inpainting model have smoother level lines and sharper edges compared with other algorithms,and the model reconstructs missing image information by connecting the broken level lines reaching the damaged regions forces the constructed image . So it can improve the inpainting effects deeply.
