The Research And Application Of Security Solution In Railway Construction Project Management Information System

The RCPMIS (Railway Construction Projects Management Information System) is a project management system for special lines construction of railway passenger transportation, deployed in special line companies of railway passenger transportation and the Ministry of Railways. By using the RCPMIS, special line companies can manage the construction situation of some project headquarters and construction items, and inform the Ministry of Railways of the production data. Thus the leaders of the Ministry of Railways can control and manage all the special lines, and give specific instructions for construction. The RCPMIS is a complex multi-roles system set on the Internet. For "first-class management and first-class construction", the security of the RCPMIS must be ensured.The RCPMIS is an application system based on network. To ensure the security and stability of the RCPMIS, threatens from network and the system must be taken into consideration, and a complete security solution for the RCPMIS must be designed, namely RCPMIS-Security. This thesis mainly researches the design and development of RCPMIS-Security in system application according to the factual requirement of RCPMIS. the author analyses the requirements of RCPMIS project; designs the whole architecture of RCPMIS-Security solution; does some research on technology and implementation methodology of RCPMIS, such as PKI/CA, IPSec VPN, Web Services security models; in allusion to the factual requirement of RCPMIS, designs and develops the application system part of RCPMIS-Security solution in detail. Finally applies the RCPMIS-Security into RCPMIS, and completes RCPMIS successfully, then deploys the RCPMIS in WuGuang passenger transportation special line company. During the process of developing application system of RCPMIS-Security, encryption technology, .NET cryptography, Web Services security models, XML encryption and XML signature are used to solve the problem of data transmission, data storage and Web Services in RCPMIS. Through the mentioned methods, high reliability and high availability of RCPMIS are ensured.RCPMIS-Security is significant to develop the RCPMIS successfully. The version 1.0 of the RCPMIS will be finished soon. In November 2006, the RCPMIS has passed the examination of the leaders of the Ministry of Railways and related specialists in the field successfully. Based on the success in WuGuang passenger transportation special line company, the RCPMIS has been deployed in 9 companies in China. The successful implementation of the RCPMIS implies that the RCPMIS-Security is reliable and available for the security in both network and system application.
