Along with the high-tech weapons rapid development, how to quick and accurate position battlefield target becomes an important question which the strategists care about. Increasing sense images have provided one convenience succinct way for this. From the battlefield space information fast renewal demand, this article has researched building elevation automatic acquisition based on sense images registration and battlefield target fast positioning based on sense images control point matching. Its main work as follows:1. Researched geometric correction of sense images and the basic principle, method, course and main problem of images registration.2. The vertical line locus(VLL) approach in photogrammetry is improved. The automatic obtainment of the elevation data is realized by utilizing the current constructions plane information and high-resolution sense images based images registration.3. Genetic algorithms and its application in images registration are studied. One sub-pixel accuracy control point matching method is proposed to fast position battlefield important target. This method that feature point rough matching by adding neighborhood optimization to genetic algorithms before least squares matching(LSM) has confirmed feasibility through experiments.
