Design And Implementation Of The Service Monitoring System Based On SNMP And AJAX

With rapid growth of network technology and global informationization, modern network as infrastructure of the information society has infiltrated into every aspect of society.Network service systems that supply network resource service have been widely used, without which many departments cannot deal with daily business. Hence, IT department has become an indispensable unit for security .Now that the reliability of hardware product improves on a daily basis, the challenge confronting network administrators today is the maintenance of system service security and effectiveness to ensure satisfactory operation of service system. The operation system can tackle the obstacles as quickly as possible and therefore provides good service for the customers.Aimed at the server monitor and management problems of the services on the net server, a servers monitor solution is proposed based on the SNMP extension agent technology. A framework of the whole system that can take a general view of the performance is introduced, and all sorts of methods used in monitor unit and the troubleshooting solve unit are tested. And the principle under which AdventNet software patch and PHP are adopted for system service and control within a SNMP and AJAX context and further analysis to the specific techniques for its implementation are elaborated .The research design is grounded on the web service minister system. A mature and stable SNMP net monitor protocol and its expanding measure which are applied to synthetically monitor the running station of application servers are chosen, and the agent toolkit of the AdventNet corporation to develop the monitor service agent which collects the important information of the host computer running data and the system service running data that the system servers monitor requires.At the same time we research on the manager terminals built of AJAX technology, combining the net manage and the web to obtain speedy and handy management at the point of web. In addition, we research on the system model of the monitor of multi-servers in the complex conditions.On the basis of the results from the research, the design of a well adjustable servers monitor system in a library of some university is exemplified .This servers monitor system can collect the run-time parameter of the servers and the information of the running time stations. The system can present the web form to the web manager and reserve a record to the statistics date base in dealing with the information.When the run-time parameter approximates the fault threshold value set in advance, the system will take the corresponding server reconstructing measure, such as auto rebooting the service and informing the manager by messages. We will discuss in depth and analyze the questions in the servers monitor running time and design ways to settle them. The statistical data provided by the system supply important data for the remove and collocation of the servers monitor and the web equipment.
