AGC control technology is one of the key techniques used in modern rolling mill, and the effect of control directly influences the accuracy of the product. The research on AGC control system has important theoretical and. practical significance. This paper pays emphases on studying static and dynamic characteristic about the hydraulic AGC control system of 1700 reserving cold mill, and put forward a plan for testing dynamic and static characteristic of servo cylinderThe dynamic characteristic of AGC system is one of the important parameter of hydraulic AGC system. This paper takes advantage of the method of digital simulation to investigate the dynamic characteristic of hydraulic AGC system of rolling mill in 1700mm reversing mill. The method of digital simulation is to establish the mathematical model of system and to simulate the system. This paper analyzes the effect that main parameters impact on the dynamic characteristic of system by using the newest software——MTLAB, and determines the stability, rapidity and best parameter of PID controller. On the basis of the math model, we still study on the main factors to influence the dynamic characteristic of system, Meanwhile, make some necessary simulation, and put forward scheme for betterment.Hydraulic cylinder is an important part of hydraulic system.The great rolling force, short stroke, and fast frequency response make the testing more difficult. In order to improve the quality of the servo cylinder in practical environment, a set of hydraulic test bed for the servo cylinder of rolling mill, the Hydraulic Automatic Gauge Control system, has been designed with reference to the national and industrial test standards. It is designed for the large rolling mills and can be used to test the dynamic and static performance of the servo cylinder. It is completed base on the LabVIEW software.It is known according to the test result of 1700mm rolling servo cylinder, theproject of testing is reasonable and effective. The servo cylinder testing-bed could really reflect the parameter of cylinder performance. The research in the paper provides the reference of further improvement and development of servo cylinder.
