In the process of the structural analysis, synthesis and choice of mechanism kinematic chains, the main question is the detection of isomorphism among kinematic chains and the exploitation of the software which can accomplish the isomorphism identification is important to achieving the automatization in machanical design.Firstly the paper introduces the theoretic foundation for programme and the characteristic representation of the kinematic chains, which is canonical perimeter topological graph, canonical adjacency matrix and characteristic representation code, can be obtained whit the new method of labeling the topological graph, the characteristic representation considered as the invariant of the kinematic chains all can describe a kinenatic chain uniquely.Using of the VC++6.0 software the exploitation of the software was completed. The topological graph of kinematic chain can be inputted in the drawing area straightway by the drawing function of the GDI and the man-machine conversation is implemented well which means that we can redraw at will before ending the draw. The topological information about the kinematic chain was input via drawing the topological graph and the adjacency matrix was created automatically.On the basis of the inputting information the topological structural analysis is implemented via searching all the loops with crunode theory, confirming perimeter loop, redefining the vertex coordinate on the perimeter loop and the inner sub_chain and bringing forth the canonical perimeter topological graph, canonical adjacency matrix and the characteristic representation code by programme. At the same time the result of operation shows in the display area.Based on the characteristic of rigid sub_chain, the method of detecting the rigid sub_chain was fined through the loop theory and the procedure was madeto realize detection and remotion of sub_chain which is applied in topological structural analysis. The new topological graph will be held on analyzing after deleting the rigid sub_chain.
