With the development of Terrestrial digital TV, mobile digital TV receives much attention. The reception terminal that receives the wireless digital TV signal is always moving in application. The signal fading is very serious in a minute. This kind of fading deteriorates the quality of digital TV signal seriously and also influences the reliability of signal reception. We must adopt various resisting fading techniques to decrease bad effect and ensure the transmission quality of the signal in such condition.Smart antenna is a kind of technique that processes signals in the space field. Smart antenna technique used in the mobile digital TV reception terminal and the method to process signals in the time field can not only achieve the adaptive beamforming, mitigate delay spread and multipath fading, decrease bit error rate, increase spectral efficiency and system capacity but also make the best of the multipath signal to improve the reliability of signal reception greatly.This paper has finished the research on the mobile digital TV reception system based on smart antenna mostly and designed a kind of scheme for the Front-End in mobile digital TV receiver. The simulation results of the filter in the structure modules are given out through Simulink.The paper introduces the principle, criterions and key techniques of the digital TV broadcast and summarizes the classes and basic principle of the smart antenna, including the antenna array model and array processing signals mathematical model. It discusses various multi-path interrupt and fading of the terrestrial digital TV broadcasting system and introduces the method to overcome the interference. A mobile digital TV reception system scheme using the smart antenna is proposed to decrease multipath fading and interferenceconsequently during mobile digital TV reception. Theoretical deduction and experimental simulation have been finished. A hardware platform scheme for the mobile digital TV reception system has been designed. This platform has sufficient flexibility and strong ability to process signals. Finally the paper gives out the simulation results of the design for the filter in the structure modules of the ADC and DDC.
